"Teaching Children Torah" is a Children's Service program developed by Michelle Vinokur.
Michelle Vinokur is a respected member of the Jewish community heading the Children’s Services at Waverley Shul for the past 22 years and more recently having being brought in to energise the childrens services at a major shul in glenhazel ( The Base). Michelle is a qualified teacher with a Higher Diploma in Pre-Primary and Junior Primary Education, as well as a B Ed. Honours in Learning Support. She has been teaching pre-primary at a Jewish day school for the past 18 years. And to make sure she's occupied she also writes the children's section in the Jewish Life Magazine (14yrs). Michelle has authored and illustrated eight childrens books.
"Teaching Children Torah" is a comprehensive teaching manual for teachers/madrichim to instill the knowledge and love of the Torah and Hashem (G-d) in children ages 1-6 and 7-12. The programme follows the weekly torah portions and includes festivals and fast days.
The booklets come with detailed, illustrated lesson plans as well as audio recordings (CD/Download option) to learn the songs.

We offer extensive training where the madrichim are taught: How to relate to children and parent. Methods and techniques to use when teaching the children’s services. Instructions on how to use the lesson manual and resource pack, and, how to deliver fun and enjoyable children’s services.
