Materials:

• Three cups
• Paper towel
• Food colouring

Instructions:

• Fill one cup with water and stir in some food dye either blue, red or yellow.
• Roll up a paper towel and place one end in the cup with water and the other in the empty cup beside it.
• Watch as the colour water travels up the paper towel and makes its way into the empty cup
• Fill another cup with coloured water.
• Roll up another paper towel and place one end in the cup and the other end in the cup which has the other coloured water dripping in from the paper towel.
• Watch as the colours mix as they fall into the cup
